Decisions of the investigating judge of Verbania after a day of interrogations
(ANSA) – VERBANIA, MAY 29 – Gabriele Tadini, the head of the Mottarone cableway, goes to the house and Luigi Nerini, the manager of the plant, and Enrico Perocchio, operating manager, are free. It was decided by the investigating judge of Verbania Donatella Banci Buonamici. The three were arrested in the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, for the accident that caused 14 deaths last Sunday, and tonight they all leave prison.
The decision of the investigating judge, Donatella Banci Buonamici, was read to the lawyers of the three and to the prosecutor, Olimpia Bossi, in the Verbania prison. After three days, therefore, all three arrested leave prison. As far as can be said at the moment, for the judge it is sufficient for Tadini, who admitted the use of the fork, as a precautionary requirement for house arrest, while it is probable that for the other two, who instead denied knowing about the brake lock emergency, there is insufficient evidence for the precautionary measure.
In particular, the manager Luigi Nerini, in his interrogation, pointed out, with his lawyer Pasquale Pantano, that safety and maintenance are not the responsibility of the entrepreneur but of the companies to which they are entrusted and, specifically, of the service manager and operating manager.
