The Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) managed to have Williams Oswaldo Cárcamo Santamaría, a member of the criminal structure, convicted of a double crime, for which he must now serve a total prison sentence of 40 years.
The investigations carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office, with the support of investigators from the National Civil Police (PNC), established that in the early morning of September 27, 2017, Cárcamo Santamaría caused the death of a man and a woman, when they were in the minibus parking for route 33-B, in the Escalante neighborhood, San Roque canton, in Mejicanos.
Five criminals arrived at that place, including Cárcamo Santamaría, and under threats they took the couple to a desolate place -always in the parking area-, then shot them until they were killed. The gang members removed the bodies of the victims aboard a 33-B minibus.
The bodies wrapped in sheets were later located on the main street that leads to the canton, while the minibus was found by the authorities near the scene of the murders.
The process was reported to the Specialized Sentencing Court for a Life Free of Violence for Women, in Santa Ana, which found Santamaría guilty and imposed the penalty already described.
As for the other criminals who participated in this event, they are already serving prison sentences having been previously prosecuted.
