BELLUNO. Polls open today, Sunday 12 June, throughout the province. We vote for the five referendums on justice, but the most awaited election is the one for the renewal of twelve municipalities, including Belluno, Feltre and Cortina. 162,077 Belluno citizens are called to express themselves on referendum questions, 83,080 women and 78,997 men; while the administrative elections involve 78,288 voters, 40,261 women and 38,027 men.

The polling stations will remain open from 7 am to 11 pm. The counting of the referendum ballots will begin immediately afterwards, while to find out the outcome of the municipal elections it will be necessary to wait for tomorrow afternoon, with the start of the counting set at 2 pm. a valid identity document and the electoral card which in case of loss (or if it should be complete, without spaces for new stamps) must be requested from the municipal electoral office which will remain open also during the entire election day.

You can vote by drawing an X on the name of the candidate for mayor or on the symbol of a list or on both. You can also express up to two preferences for candidate councilors, but they must be a male and a female. Separate voting is allowed in Belluno and Feltre. In these two municipalities there is also a second round of ballot, on June 26, if none of the candidates will exceed the 50% threshold.

The following are the turnout figures

Ore 12. There was a slight decline in the average turnout for seats in the 12 municipalities called upon to renew the administration. At 12 noon 15.31% of those entitled to vote went to vote; five years ago, at the same time there was a 17.22. Looking at the data of the individual municipalities, only Cesiomaggiore, Tambre and Fonzaso, three of the five realities that have only one candidate for mayor and therefore risk the commissioner if they do not reach 40% of the voters, record an increase in the percentage: a Cesiomaggiore 15.73% of those entitled to vote went to vote against 13.82% in 2017, a Fonzaso 14% (11.86% in 2017) and a tambourine 16.13% (15.02% five years ago).

All other municipalities are down. The one that records the most significant decrease is Rivamonte Agordino (also here with only one list) which at 12 noon saw 15.33% of those entitled to vote against 21.04% in 2017. A Belluno 15.06% of those entitled to vote (17.59% in 2017) went to vote, a felt 15.33% against 16.95% the previous time. TO Cortina the percentage of voters was 20.70% (23.63% in 2017); to Falcade 11.81% against 17.91% in 2017; to Lamon 10.29% (it was 12.10% five years ago); to Auronzo 21.71% (26.55% five years ago). TO San Gregorio in the Alps there is a decrease of almost 4%: voters are 14.90% against 18.54% in 2017, while sovereignty just 6.92% of those entitled voted (it was 7.90%).

As for the five referendums, the turnout figures are rather low. The highest percentages, albeit low, were registered for the first referendum (the one on unblockability after conviction) with 9.43% of voters, while the second (limitations of precautionary measures) recorded 8.43% of voters . The other three referendum questions amounted to around 7% of voters.
