CCTV News: The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the “White Paper on the Development of China’s Digital Economy (2022)” yesterday (July 8). The white paper shows that my country’s industrial digitalization accounts for more than 80% of the digital economy, and the digital economy structure is more optimized.
The “White Paper” shows that since 2012, the average annual growth rate of my country’s digital economy has been as high as 15.9%, which is significantly higher than the average GDP growth rate in the same period. Driven by broadband China, 5G and the industrial Internet, the scale of the digital economy will reach 45.5 trillion yuan in 2021, a year-on-year nominal increase of 16.2%. Industrial digitalization has become the main engine for the development of the digital economy. Experts pointed out that in the past, the development of my country’s digital economy was dominated by the consumer Internet represented by e-commerce. In recent years, the driving role of the industrial Internet on the digital economy has become more obvious.
Wang Zhiqin, Vice President of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology: We can also see that the structure of the entire digital economy has actually been further optimized. The digital part of the industry has increased significantly in recent years, and now it has reached 82%.
