The “Planning” proposes that by 2025, the overall strength of Jiangsu’s coastal areas will be steadily improved, the economy and population agglomeration capacity will be further enhanced, and the average annual growth rate of regional GDP will be faster than the average level of the eastern region, accounting for about 20% of the province’s proportion. Industrial innovation capabilities have been greatly improved, and the output value of high-tech industries accounted for 42.5% of industries above designated size. By 2035, the economic strength, scientific and technological strength, and comprehensive competitiveness of Jiangsu’s coastal areas will have greatly increased, and the per capita GDP and per capita disposable income of residents will double on the basis of 2020.

The “Plan” proposes to speed up the construction of offshore wind power bases with a capacity of 10 million kilowatts in the offshore area, plan and study deep-sea offshore wind power bases with a capacity of 10 million kilowatts; implement key projects such as Fenghai and Tonghai 500kV power transmission and transformation projects, and plan for 10 million kilowatts of offshore wind power at the same time. Wind power base supporting peak-shaving power supply and Nantong-Suzhou river crossing project; construction of the southern section of the Sino-Russian East Line,Lianyungang—Yizheng Crude Oil Pipeline andLianyungang-XuzhouRefined oilPipelines to improve the layout of the oil and gas pipeline network in Jiangsu Province.Promote the construction of coastal LNG receiving stations in an orderly manner, and increase the capacity of unloading and unloading of coastal LNG receiving stations; on the premise of ensuring absolute safety, orderly promote the construction of the Tianwan nuclear power project and steadily promote nuclear energy heating; constructionLianyungangPumped storage power station.
