Hail was the size of an egg, smashing the windshield of local cars out of holes. Due to the hail weather, more than 50 flights at Dalian Airport were affected, and some aircraft were damaged.
At 11:10 am on October 1, Dalian official Weibo posted a message saying that more than 50 flights of China Southern Airlines at Dalian Airport were affected by the sudden hail extreme weather.
Earlier on the same day, news from Dalian International Airport stated that due to sudden hailstorms, some aircraft suffered varying degrees of damage at Dalian Airport, resulting in delays and cancellations of some flights.
“Dalian Sudden” official Weibo reported at 0:52 am on the 1st that in the early morning of that day, extreme weather with wind, rain, thunder and lightning increased hail in some areas of Dalian, the hail was as big as an egg. The severe hail weather has lasted for nearly 30 minutes. At the moment when the direct message was sent, extreme weather continued.
The Weibo said at 0:38 in the morning that netizens broke the news that a large hail smashed the skylights of residents’ homes. Netizens ridiculed “Who should I contact to solve?”
In addition, many pictures were uploaded on the Internet, showing that the hail was as big as an egg; the windshields of many local cars were smashed.
The online video showed that there was hail everywhere at the scene, and the surroundings were full of “bangs” of hail hitting objects.
