Nearly 130 patients benefited in February from the surgical interventions carried out in San Pedro

Paraguayan and foreign medical professionals within the framework of the program “Ñechasqa Paraguay”, held last week at the General Hospital of Santa Rosa del Aguaray, a successful marathon of free reconstructive surgeries that benefit about 97 patients.

The director of the Second Health Region reported that the program includes free reconstructive surgeries for patients with pathological scars or traffic accidents, with burns, cleft lip, skin tumors, malformations of the face, hands and feet, among others.

For its part, the Second Health Region organized three days of hernia repair surgery sessions with specialist doctors at the Capiibary Basic Hospital, where some 31 patients were operated on. Among the people operated on are indigenous people and adult patients.

In this regard, it is highlighted that in recent weeks, some 128 patients managed to benefit through scheduled surgeries carried out in two stages of surgical work, one in Capiibary with 31 patients and the second in Santa Rosa del Aguaray with 97 patients treated.
