New government ordinance: the red zone extended to April 20, you go back only if infections drop

The stakes are the known ones: to review orange, the Fvg, in addition to confirming an Rt below 1.25 (0.98 in the last monitoring), will have to count less than 250 positives over seven days per 100,000 inhabitants

UDINE. 400 days have passed since the first case of coronavirus in Friuli Venezia Giulia and for the second time the citizens of the region are experiencing a very different Easter from the usual one.

In 2020 it was called lockdown, now we are in the red zone, a restriction that the government has extended, from Tuesday 6 April, for another 15 days, “subject to a new classification”.

In the order signed today – April 3 – by the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, due to the pressure of the governors, a door opens also for the Fvg: if the coronavirus allows it, the restrictions could be relaxed before April 20, the fifteenth day from the effective date of the provision. More than an omen if you look at the descent of the curve.

The text of the ordinance, which contrary to usual does not specify a deadline, but only the duration of the “measures of the so-called red zone”, assuming a possible “new classification” within those 15 days, does not exclude area changes as a result more favorable numbers of the contagion.

The stakes are the known ones: in order to review orange, the Fvg, in addition to confirming an Rt below 1.25 (0.98 in the last monitoring), will have to count less than 250 positives over seven days per 100,000 inhabitants.
