Wang Weiluo: Yes, we talked about the safety of the Three Gorges Project during the Taiwan Strait War. In 1992, Taiwan issued the “Research on the Construction of the Three Gorges Dam on the Mainland and Our Countermeasures”-a special research report made by Taiwan’s China Economic Research Institute. We will omit all the contents here, and leave the final conclusion: What attitude should Taiwan report on the mainland’s construction of the Three Gorges? That is-we are happy to see it happen.
In fact, during the entire construction process of the Three Gorges Project, all other countries in the world expressed opposition, not only because it was a change in the world trend. After the problems with the Aswan Dam in Egypt, the whole trend in the world has changed. Everyone has realized that the ecological and social costs caused by the Aswan Dam are too great. It is the so-called economic benefit. Can’t afford it, so everyone changed their views.
If you went to an elementary school in Germany today, and you talk to them about Aswan in Egypt, the pupils can tell you about the ecological hazards of a large dam. Taiwan put forward: We firmly support the construction of the Three Gorges dam. The reporters from Taiwan went to the Three Gorges when they buzzed like flies. The Three Gorges Dam has four life gates

This dam section has a total of 77 holes, plus the turbines (each turbine has large water inlet and outlet holes), plus 32, and the Three Gorges Project has a total of 109 holes. Fourth, the quality supervision system. The quality of the Three Gorges Project is not good. Many people have already talked about it, and I have talked about it. My own supervision of the Three Gorges Ship Lock is not good

The Three Gorges Ship Lock has quality problems, China will soon build a second one

There will be a small battle in the Taiwan Strait. Water conservancy projects are a hidden danger

Since Xi Jinping has now built public opinion to this level, it is impossible not to fight, but it is also impossible to fight a big fight. It’s like fighting on Treasure Island, right? I didn’t lose, you didn’t win; or if you didn’t win a battle that I didn’t lose, everyone turned in face.
If it is going to be a big hit, it will not be able to be collected below. More people in China will die than in Taiwan. Moreover, not only the Three Gorges Dam has become the target of military attacks, but also China’s huge number of dams, as well as the main canal of China’s South-to-North Water Diversion Project, will definitely become the target of military attacks, because the current water of the South-to-North Water Diversion has become Beijing. , Zhengzhou’s main water supply.
The British could blow up German reservoirs in order to destroy the water supply. If the Taiwan Strait war breaks out, the South-to-North Water Diversion Project will also be the target of attack, right? Does that have to be hit with a nuclear bomb? No nuclear bomb is used. This is what Li Keqiang knows best. Li Keqiang has deployed 4,600 PLA soldiers to the Three Gorges Dam, right? How much is the so-called funding? The Communist Party’s philosophy is that man rules and overcomes nature

Just now, Mr. Wang Weiluo, you also mentioned that at the beginning of the CCP’s preparations for the construction of the Three Gorges Project, people from the military objected and mentioned that it is a fixed threat. So why does the CCP want to build the Three Gorges Dam? There have been discussions for many years. Could you please tell us briefly, why does the CCP have to launch such a project?
Wang Weiluo: Mainly from the concept. Because he believes that the relationship between man and nature is that man governs nature and man can overcome nature. By 1949, China had only 23 reservoirs and dams, and they were mainly built by the Japanese in China. For example, the Fengman Reservoir on the Songhua River, the Shuifeng Reservoir on the Yalu River, and the Naode Reservoir on the Liaohe River are all reservoirs built by the Japanese. There are really very few reservoirs built by the Chinese. It seems that there is one in Yunnan. I tried to build it myself, and I also tried to build a reservoir dam in Sichuan. Chinese people generally don’t build a dam. Of course, it has something to do with the story of the Fushan Dam that caused 100,000 deaths and the legend that Dayu’s father (built the dam) failed to control the water.
However, after 1949, the CCP sent a delegation to the Soviet Union to learn from the experience and talk about how the Soviets “conquered nature”. They found their experience in the book of Stalin’s Political Economy. Stalin said that it is good to build reservoirs, and the benefits of reservoir dams are “both flood control and drought resistance.” Everyone remember that “both flood prevention and drought resistance” means that the flooded water is stored in the reservoir, and when the drought occurs, it is released for irrigation and water supply. Stalin also specifically talked about the use of reservoirs and dams to overcome flood disasters in “ancient times”.
The flood disasters in ancient times were not the once-in-five-thousand-year floods. It might have been a bigger flood, right? In fact, the Chinese Communist Party likes water control the most, and it has done the worst in water control. It is that water control is not good. It is said that these 40,000 reservoirs and dams will be demolished. I think this news is not necessarily too accurate. Because this news first came from Taiwan’s “Liberty Times”, saying that Xi Jinping ordered the demolition of 40,000 reservoirs and dams. The main reason is that reservoirs and dams are not good for the ecological environment, causing rivers to dry up and so on.
I think Taiwanese and mainland Chinese use the same Chinese, but their understanding and use of words are a bit different. For example, Chinese people like to talk about “structure”, and Taiwanese talk about “architecture”; China talks about “sustainable development”, and Taiwan talks about “sustainable development.” The Chinese say “time bombs” and the Chinese say time bombs. It doesn’t mean that I know when the bomb will be exploded. It is something that someone else decides. I don’t know when it will explode. The Chinese are called “time bombs.” Taiwanese call this type of bomb “untimed bomb” because I don’t know when it will explode. Therefore, there is a big difference between the understanding of the two sides.
CCP rectifies and demolishes 40,000 reservoirs and dams
It may be a document from China. It says that China is going to reorganize 40,000 reservoirs and dams. Among them, a small part of them, nearly 3,000 to 5,000 reservoirs and dams are to be abandoned. This is a Chinese document. Said inside. So when I got to Taiwan, Xi Jinping wanted to demolish 40,000 reservoir dams. In fact, the history of China’s demolition of reservoirs and dams can actually be extended to a long time ago. The Sanmenxia Reservoir failed after it was completed. By 1963, a large reservoir downstream of Sanmenxia Reservoir, called Huayuankou Reservoir, was quietly demolished.
I don’t know if people in Zhengzhou still remember the Huayuankou Reservoir Dam, which is a big dam. As the clear water discharged from the upstream Sanmenxia Reservoir caused the foundation of the downstream reservoir to be unstable, and the foundation of the downstream Zhengzhou Iron Bridge was unstable, Zhou Enlai ordered the dam to be blown up. This was the earliest demolition in China. Dam news. In 2011, when Xi Jinping was not the chairman or general secretary, but his successor, he went to the Fengman Reservoir on the Songhua River and finally approved the demolition and reconstruction of the Fengman Reservoir.
After the demolition is completed, a dam will be rebuilt 100 meters below the Fengman Reservoir. The old dams above are basically all exploded easily with explosives, which is not a difficult task. This is also called demolition of dams. There are many reservoirs in China. Now they are facing too long years of manufacture, or there was no design at all. They may have to rebuild.
At the same time, there are also a number of small reservoirs, and their preparations are abandoned. Their ideas are just the opposite. Internationally, the construction of small dams is supported, because small dams have the least impact on the environment, and they use the power of natural hydropower to generate electricity and supply local consumption in some backward areas.
If from the perspective of small hydropower, I have seen that there are hydropower stations on the Chinese website recently, right? If I don’t want this reservoir, I’ll sell it to you. You can buy it for as much as you want. It seems that no one wants to buy it, because it is going to be demolished, and no one will buy it. The electricity bill for small hydropower grids is much cheaper than that of the Three Gorges Dam. Then why should we dismantle the cheaper ones that provide electricity, but keep the ones that have a large impact on the ecological environment? This is a puzzling question.

The flooding of rivers is a natural phenomenon and is needed for the metabolism of rivers. When people still lose their temper, you can’t say that rivers cannot lose their temper.
