TOLMEZZO. We are moving towards the confirmation, without the requested changes, of the route on Tolmezzo of the Würmlach-Somplago power line. Instead, the request for constant monitoring of magnetic fields has been accepted.
On the monetary compensation front (for the inconvenience created by the work), 1 million and 15 thousand euros and photovoltaic systems are foreseen for the Municipality of Tolmezzo.
The mayor, Francesco Brollo, reported to the City Council the outcome of the videoconference organized by the regional councilor Fabio Scoccimarro (on the agreement scheme between the Region and the company proposing the work, Alpe Adria Energia, relating to the rebalancing compensation that the territories have right to receive for the inconvenience suffered due to the work) and the decision-making services conference on the authorization process announced by the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
The draft Region-proposer framework agreement, explained Brollo, acknowledges the requests made by the Municipality: the monetization of the compensation will take place within 30 days of obtaining the authorizations and not, as previously foreseen, from the entry into operation of the line .
Also accepted, in the list of works of public interest for which compensations will be allowed, the addition of the forecast of photovoltaic systems, “which we wanted to introduce – explained Brollo – to give us the opportunity to think about the creation of a park photovoltaic or installations on public buildings, which generate a cash flow over time ».
The total amount that the company is expected to pay to the Municipality is 1 million and 15 thousand euros. These measures, clarified Brollo, do not include the interventions required to further protect health: duct box boxed and shielded by “multilayer ducts” (they further reduce all emissions to levels much lower than the legal limits).
The project will include it for 1.3 km (720 thousand euros). Brollo reported that he had asked for changes to the route on Imponzo and Cadunea (to be moved along via del Campo Sportivo) and in the village “Sfleus” (to be buried under the cycle path) on record.
“We register in spite of ourselves – he said – that there are very few possibilities that they will be made, if not in modest parts in the executive phase, where” optimizations “will be allowed, but no changes”.
Accepted instead “the request – he added – of a constant campaign to measure electromagnetic fields, which will be carried out by ARPA”.
The measurement sites will be established together with the Municipality in the most sensitive places (such as inhabited centers). The cost of monitoring will be borne by the proposer. The next steps are the agreement that the Region will have to provide and the final authorization to carry out the work by the Ministry.
