The Postal and Communications Police, delegated by the Public Prosecutor, as part of the information monitoring of the Internet connected to the current mobilization against the measures adopted by the Government for the containment of the Covid-19 pandemic, has detected the publication of numerous hateful messages, inspired by ‘No Vax’ conspiracy theories.
The policemen have in particular identified a Telegram channel, characterized by the presence of numerous messages characterized by anti-Semitic ideologies, by conspiracy theories against vaccines, by incitement to violence during public demonstrations, as well as by serious threats against various institutional offices, among which the Prime Minister Mario Draghi, the US President Joe Biden and the founder of the Microsoft company, Bill Gates.
The channel administrator, originally from the province of Naples, but who has long been domiciled in Germany for professional reasons, was checked upon entering Italy at Naples Capodichino Airport, where he was in transit to participate in the no-vax event that took place it would have been carried out in Rome on 15 January 2022, and was subjected to a personal search carried out, as delegated by the Public Prosecutor, by the Postal Police Department and by the Digos of Naples.
