The City Council took note of the suspension of Rosset and postponed the political discussion on the matter of the ‘Contoz pavilion’

NUS. “We trust in the investigation of the degree of appeal and any subsequent degree of judgment that can take into account every aspect of the disputed situation, whose legal relevance is still to be evaluated”. So the mayor Fabio Grange during the last session of the city council in Nus. Grange’s intervention concerned the suspension of Camillo Rosset from the post of mayor after the sentencing of the Court of Aosta in the process relating to the authorizations issued to his cousin to place a pavilion on municipal land, benefiting from a discounted fee.

As usual, the City Council took note (with the abstentions of the councilors Clusaz and Milliery) of the suspension decree of Rosset for the effects of the Severino law.

“The facts relating to the” Contoz pavilion “were well known to the entire Council of the previous legislature and the proceedings are public,” said Grange, retracing what happened. «The initiative that led to this situation – he declared – starts from the common and shared desire to solve the problem raised by some associations that had requested, in that period, a usable space. The request of the associations was widely approved by the competent councilors and the entire council, including the minority, was fully informed and agreed with the solution identified “. In addition, he added, “the situation of the pavilion was the subject of a new resolution of extension, by way of self-protection, approved unanimously by the council, with the exclusion of the mayor Rosset, who was absent”.

Political discussion on the matter has been postponed. The leader of the minority Alessandro Calisti explained that “for reasons of expediency attributable to the recent event that hit the family of Camillo Rosset, we will postpone the political discussion to the next Council, with the presentation of requests”.

With the suspension of Rosset, the municipal council of Nus now has four members. The proxies for the budget have passed to Edy Favre while the councilor Edda Carlon has assumed the office of deputy mayor.
