One month old baby dies of asphyxiation in Caltanissetta, investigations underway

by admin

A one-month-old baby died of asphyxiation before reaching the emergency room of the Sant’Elia hospital in Caltanissetta this morning. The call to the 118 central arrived at around 8.30. When the rescuers arrived in via Roma, in the home of the little one, the child was already in cardiac arrest.

The causes of death are unclear and the police are investigating the matter. From the operations center, while the ambulance was being sent, the 118 operator gave instructions to the parents on how to try to resuscitate the child, but every attempt was useless. The rush to the hospital is also in vain, where the baby is already dead.
