“Only ethical investments”. After the London scandal, the Pope entrusts himself to the laity

After having passed the procurement code and the centralization of the cash, the Vatican sets up a committee that will monitor the nature of the investments, as required by the new apostolic constitution on the reform of the Curia, the “Praedicate Evangelium”, commissioned by Pope Francis and entered into force on June 5. The president of the committee, whose members will remain in office for 5 years, is Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, prefect of the laity, from the United States, a trusted man by the Pope who has recently managed the difficult “conversion” of ecclesial movements from self-referential organizations to communities open to all in the welcoming spirit of the Gospel.
