The conditions of the thirty-year-old (her initials MS) resident in Cormòns who was overwhelmed by a tree on the evening of April 30, in what should have been a day of celebration, are very serious. In the district of Piedimonte, in Gorizia, the ancient tradition of the “Maj” was being revived: a custom that extends its roots over time and that – through the symbol of oak, a robust and tenacious tree – underlines the passage from adolescence to actual maturity.
