Palazzo Chigi: “There will be a mandatory Green Pass in company canteens”

by admin

For company canteens, the Green Pass is required. A Faq from Palazzo Chigi arrives to put order in the workplace catering issue that had risked the first strike against the green certificate in a company in the Turin area. «For consumption at the table indoors – it is explained – workers can access the company canteen or the premises used for the administration of catering services to employees, only if they have green certification. To this end, the managers are required to verify the certifications in the manner indicated by the dpcm of 17 June “, explains the Faq.

The clarification comes after yesterday it was explained by government sources that the green pass obligation was also applicable to the canteens of the armed forces and police forces. An exemption, that from the green card, which in the previous days some internal circulars had instead sanctioned. But to reiterate the obligation today also for the canteens of military and law enforcement is a circular from the head of the secretariat of the Department of Public Security, Sergio Bracco.

“With immediate effect – reads the document sent today to all the offices of the Department of Public Security – on the basis of the indications provided by the Ministry of Health, the consumption of the meal in the service canteens must be allowed only to those who are in possession of Covid-19 green certifications ».

However, the trade unions do not like the indication: “given the importance of such a provision, there was no prior discussion with the trade unions”, remarks the secretary of the Silp-CGIL, Daniele Tissone, according to whom “today’s circular disavows the one issued not even ten days before ». Without, however, that “we do not even know – he underlines – the indications issued by the Ministry of Health“.

The further Faq on the obligation extended to every company canteen now resolves the knots and ambiguities that in recent days had led to leaks forward and attitudes considered discriminatory, as in the case of the Hanon System of Campiglione Fenile (Turin), which yesterday withdrew the obligation of the green certificate thus avoiding what otherwise would have been the first strike against the pass. An obligation that now, however, will have to be reintroduced. As the Piedmont Region will have to review its position, which in a circular that specifically concerns regional employees without vaccination obligations, argues that “the activities connected with the use of food are allowed to all staff, without prejudice to compliance with the protocols or guidelines aimed at preventing or containing contagion “.

Now, therefore, companies will have to adapt, leaving non-viable hypotheses such as the one conceived by Clivet, a group specialized in air conditioning, heating and treatment systems based in Feltre, in the Belluno area, with separate canteen rooms for six hundred employees, one for those who have the green certificate, the other for those who do not have it. Proposal rejected by the trade unions. But now there is the final word of the government: to eat at the canteen you need the green pass.
