New setback for the rebirth of Palazzo Gazzi. The tender to carry out the renovation works, aimed at the recovery of the restaurant, is to be redone. Just when everything was ready for the start of the expected structural intervention, the winning company communicated the renunciation of the contract due to serious impediments by the administrator. And since it was the only offer received, it is not possible to scroll through the ranking and consult the runner-up. It is therefore necessary to start a new procedure, but this time the Municipality will proceed through a negotiated procedure, without notice.
Once the award has been revoked and the financial commitment canceled as a result, we go back. The contractual and execution conditions of the work have not been changed and we start from there. The amount of the work is 415 thousand 159 euros (on a project for a total of 623 thousand euros), of which 382 thousand 932 based on tender and 32 thousand 227 for safety charges not subject to reduction. The money is that of the border funds (500 thousand euros), to which are added 50 thousand euros of a contribution from the Ministry for the design and another 73 thousand euros with the taking out of a loan for the purchase of furniture and equipment.
Now nineteen companies will be contacted among those who had submitted the expression of interest in mid-July, in the preliminary step to the tender. 63 had come forward, among which fifteen were drawn by lot to participate in the competition. In the end, the municipal offices received the offer from a single company, which however on 23 September communicated the voluntary renunciation of the award of the works. This lengthens the time required to carry out the interventions that the building needs before reopening the management notice to make the premises available ready. It is yet another twist for Palazzo Gazzi, after the problems of static and unsuccessful attempts to find a manager. –
