Palermo, 16 years old, falls into a 10 m well: saved by the fire brigade

PALERMO – A 16-year-old boy fell into a well about ten meters deep in Palermo in the Chiavelli courtyard, but was recovered by a fire brigade team. The 118 health workers and the carabinieri also intervened on the spot. The boy was transported to the hospital with bruises all over his body but his condition would not be serious.

The boy was playing football with some friends. He ended up on the pit covered by a sole to retrieve the ball. The lid gave way and the boy fell for about ten meters. He screamed. Friends have raised the alarm. The first to intervene were some residents who tried to bring him back up by lowering a rope. In the meantime, help has arrived.
