The aim of the “visiting help” pilot project, which was launched in cooperation with the Rhein-Sieg district and the Ministry for Homeland, Municipal Affairs, Building and Digitization (MHKBD), is to inform those affected by the devastating flood in July 2021 about the different To inform offers of help and to facilitate your access. It is reasonable to assume that many eligible people have not yet sought help. That’s why employees of the Rhein-Sieg district’s reconstruction department and the aid organizations were out and about in downtown Rheinbach to distribute information flyers to households. They received support from Mayor Ludger Banken and department head Daniela Hoffmann from the city of Rheinbach, who took part in the campaign. Anyone who still needs support can contact the district’s hotline on 02241/13-2200. Those affected should be informed there about the appropriate assistance. Furthermore, the MHKBD is in close contact with the advice centers and the local aid organizations and supports the initiative so that the various offers of help reach as many affected people in the flood areas as possible.
