Porto Torres, the first civil marriage in Balai

by admin

The union of Elio Manunta and Claudia Cocco was celebrated by the president of the city council Franco Satta

PORTO TORRES. First civil wedding of the year this morning May 21 on the promontory of Balai – in Porto Torres – between the groom Elio Manunta and the bride Claudia Cocco. To celebrate the union between the young people was the prime minister Franco Satta.

In recent years, the municipal assembly had approved the regulation that identified the sites where it was possible to marry with a civil ceremony: a choice that proved to be appropriate, before the pandemic, because there had been excellent feedback from couples. In fact, several outdoor weddings were also celebrated for couples who came to Porto Torres from other areas of Italy and from abroad and the rites were held in the bay of Balai (park and promontory) and in the Chico Mendez park.

The goal was to make the cultural and seafront locations known to the wide audience of the wedding sector, where you can get married both in Porto Torres and in the Asinara National Park.
