President Bukele and First Lady cast the vote

The President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, fulfills his civic commitment by exercising his right to vote during this election day, in which El Salvador elects its municipal councils and PARLACEN deputies.

The president went with his wife, First Lady Gabriela de Bukele, to the voting center located on Olímpica Avenue, in San Salvador.

Salvadorans are voting this Sunday to elect 44 municipal councils, after the number of mayors was reduced from 262, following an initiative promoted by President Nayib Bukele, contributing to efficiency and transparency in local governments.

Prior to President Bukele’s vote, the First Lady, Gabriela de Bukele, also cast her vote for municipal councils and PARLACEN deputies in the same voting center.
