Harry had boarded the plane after it was announced on Monday that his father King Charles had cancer. The prince and Charles spoke at Clarence House in London. According to sources, the conversation lasted about 45 minutes, but that was said to be because the king was tired from his treatment. Charles and his wife Camilla then left by helicopter for the Sandringham estate.
It is not clear whether Harry saw any other family members, such as his brother William, during his stay. According to insiders, Harry did not visit his brother, with whom he still has a difficult relationship.
Meanwhile, Prince William has completed his first public engagement since Charles’ cancer diagnosis and his wife, Princess Kate’s, abdominal surgery three weeks ago. William attended an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday and will appear at a charity event this evening. It is expected that he will take on additional assignments during his father’s illness.
