Prosecco Doc. The consortium will bring the offices to Piazza Borsa

The new headquarters in a portion of the Villa Franchetti Chamber of Commerce has been chosen for meetings and exhibitions

TREVISO. The Prosecco Doc consortium will be the first tenant of the “new” Chamber of Commerce in Piazza Borsa. In recent days, the consortium has in fact expressed its interest in transferring all the offices of its headquarters from Piazzetta Filodrammatici to Piazza Borsa, in one of the future spaces of the building intended for individuals, which will derive from the radical restyling of the Chamber of Commerce.

One of the pillars of the project for the new headquarters is in fact the concentration of the chambers’ offices in a smaller space than the current one, thanks to work from home – which will be stabilized – in such a way as to obtain residential space and offices to be put on the market. The top floor of the Chamber of Commerce, for example, will be transformed into an attic, while other spaces will become offices.

The Prosecco Doc consortium therefore continues to expand its assets and image. By offering 1.5 million euros at the end of February, he secured three shares of Villa Albrizzi Franchetti in Preganziol, where he could organize events and exhibitions related to the world of bubbles, while now he aims to buy his own headquarters in the historic center for offices. The link with the Chamber of Commerce, and the centrality of Piazza Borsa, evidently suggested to the consortium to transfer its headquarters from the prestigious building in Piazzetta Filodrammatici.

For the Chamber of Commerce it is the first confirmation that the relaunch plan is liked and can find private individuals willing to buy the spaces that will be put up for sale. The Chamber of Commerce led by President Mario Pozza a few weeks ago gave the Trabucco studio the task of designing the future of Piazza Borsa, since at the time the Chamber of Commerce decided not to move anymore to the Citadel of the Institutions in the former Appiani and redevelop the city headquarters, giving a new face to a precious but now degraded urban context.

Several ideas are on the table today: from the opening of a rear passage on the Giardinetti di Sant’Andrea to the raising of a floor to be transformed into a residential area; from the construction of a gallery of offices and shops inside, to the reorganization of all the current corridors. But Mario Pozza’s goal is ambitious: to complete the plan in three years and at almost no cost. For this reason, as mentioned, the offices will squeeze to recover surface to be used for something else, whether it is a residence, offices or shops to be sold or rented.

The large central hall will be redeveloped, it will have to become a multifunctional space; in addition, it will be necessary to include the modernization of the building and its functions within a redevelopment of Piazza Borsa and the sidewalks around it. The “zero cost” for the coffers of the chamber body would derive from a sort of project financing, in which the investor will conduct the intervention being able to count on the volume part – even in addition to the current one – to be sold in a privileged area of the city, which should have no difficulty in finding buyers. –
