BELLUNO. Already a year and a half ago, given the lack of psychiatrists, Ulss Dolomiti had asked the Region to expand the psychiatric diagnosis and treatment service in Belluno. A few days after the suspension of hospitalization in Feltre Psychiatry, Crite (Regional Commission for investment in technology and construction), has fired the project. Time to invite companies to present the best financial offer on a budget of 60 thousand euros, and the renovation works, with expansion to seven additional beds, were quickly assigned to the Europroject company based in Cagliari which will carry out the ‘intervention. The company presented a reduction of 42.56% on a total project amount of 370 thousand euros.
As highlighted in the Ulss Dolomiti resolution signed by the dg Maria Grazia Carraro, “on February 26, 2020, the health company asked the Region to finance the renovation of some rooms of the psychiatric diagnosis and treatment service of the Belluno hospital for the placement of 7 additional beds, for a total project amount of 370 thousand euros. The regional Commission for Investment in Technology and Construction in the session of July 9 last approved the renovation. It is necessary to urgently proceed with the implementation of the works given the emergency situation deriving from the shortage of specialist doctors which obliges this company, albeit temporarily, to centralize the hospitalization activities in a single location as reported in the health report dated 25 February 2020 signed of the medical director Raffaele Zanella ».
