Quibdó: to prison for the murder of a woman in the El Reposo neighborhood

A guarantee control judge placed alias Juan Chope, accused of belonging to the Clan del Golfo, in a prison. The Chocó Sectional Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crimes of aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking, and carrying firearms.

According to the investigations of the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), the events for which he is accused occurred on February 3, 2024 in the El Reposo neighborhood of Quibdó (Chocó), when the defendant today allegedly arrived with four people more and, apparently, they had shot at some people who were on the neighborhood soccer field, accused of belonging to the criminal group called Los Rapados.

In the midst of the bullets, apparently the son of a woman identified as Rosa Yomaira Mosquera Perea tried to flee towards her house and it was there when the woman was hit by impacts that ended her life.

It is believed that alias Juan Chope left the jail where he was being held for the crime of homicide on February 3 at 5:00 in the afternoon. The events occurred that day at 10:00 at night.

The detainee’s mother was the one who collaborated with the authorities to ensure his capture.

Apparently, these retaliations would occur as a settling of scores between criminal gangs that commit crimes in Quibdó.
