QUINCINETTO

The socio-cultural rebirth plan is underway to raise the spirit and morale of citizenship, put to a severe test by the Covid 19 epidemic. This was announced by the mayor, Angelo Canale Clapetto, who explains: “The restart of Quincinetto, classified as a tourist town by the Piedmont Region and listed by Uncem among the Alpine Villages, it passes from the creation of the new cultural center that will take shape thanks to the relocation of the early childhood center to the old headquarters of the San Giuseppe nursery school in via XXV Aprile, hosted since 2008 in the building in via Buat Albiana, which in turn will be the subject of a refurbishment. The premises will house the Auser headquarters, the San Giuseppe meeting center, the Aurora Philharmonic, with the school of instrumental music attached, and the municipal library “Engineer Ezio Alberton”, which will be co-titled with the great poet Dante Alighieri. The first piece of the mosaic of the socio-cultural revival – he adds – is the recent donation to the Municipality of all the graphic works of the artist Alfonso Bersani, already resident in the village and buried here, by his wife Silvia and daughter Raffaella. The works of the painter, restorer and fresco painter, who died in 2009, will be exhibited in a permanent personal exhibition in the pole ». The entire operation, costing 770 thousand euros, will be made possible by government contributions for the disadvantaged countries bordering the regions with special status. Canale again: “The process to obtain the funds is in progress, as well as the participation in the tender of the Gal Valli del Canavese to redevelop the typical elements of the landscape and the rural architectural heritage, with the proposal to use the property located in the square della Chiesa, known in the village as Casa Bringhen, to house the museum dedicated to Olivetti technology ». –
