ROMA – Judge Gabriella Luccioli, who was the first in 2004, from the Civil Cassation, to appeal to the Consulta to have the right of the maternal surname recognized, admits that almost twenty years have been lost unnecessarily. Because then she saw her request declared inadmissible. Now that the Court agrees, Luccioli is ready to say: “I am very curious to read this sentence because, without a law, the risk is that an asylum could happen”.
