Special stage number 2, the legendary Biella-Oropa, was canceled at Rally Lana. As is well known, the entire rally must take place behind closed doors, but many fans flocked along the route to watch the cars pass by at night. The race direction was therefore forced to let the cars pass only in transfer, after a long conciliabolo at the start of the ps, towards the next timed section of the second passage at the Tracciolino. As if that weren’t enough, a heavy storm hit the roads with all the cars only fitted with dry tires. At the time of the suspension, the Pinzano-Pons crew (Volkswagen Polo) leads the standings with 4 ”7 ahead of Elwis Chentre and Fulvio Florean’s Skoda Fabia and 5” over the other Fabia, Davide Caffoni and Massimo Minazzi.
