The daughter Simona remembers the battle won by her father against a tumor, then the virus, which appeared at the end of February, the hospitalization and the sudden epilogue.

Covid, goodbye to Claudio, Luciano and Giovanni and the other victims in the province of Udine and Pordenone: their faces and their stories

«The disappearance of“ Alduti ”- says the mayor, Daniele Ariis – was a shock for our entire community and beyond: he was very well known. For me he was one of the family. Last time we met in Esemon a week before it tested positive. We talked about the new government, the economy and the infections in our countries and it was he who said that this virus is serious business. And now this virus has taken it away. He took away a wonderful person, sunny, optimistic and always committed to our community. Always ready to lend a hand, at the forefront of village festivals, in Sapori di Carnia and on every occasion when there was something to do. His presence and availability – adds the mayor – were a guarantee and an example, especially since he did not fail to encourage others to roll up their sleeves. It will remain impressed on me as it was the last time we met: smiling, with his contagious laugh and always ready joke. Send “Alduti” ».

Dorigo had always lived in Esemon in the house in the square in front of the fountain. To unite him to his wife Annamaria a solid and special bond and his daughters Manola and Simona. «They taught us – remembers Simona – that in a family we face everything together. Dad has always been an honest and sincere person, values he passed on to us as a brand in focus, as a sense of duty towards commitments and responsibilities. He has always been a man in love with his family. ‘ To his nephew Andrea, his infinite joy, he taught the secrets and the beauty of the mountains, to go fishing, to recognize the footprints of animals and mushrooms. «He was – assures Simona – a grandfather and an irreplaceable playmate. We are proud to have had such a father. We have the duty to carry on all the strength and values that it has taught us ».

“Alduti” also leaves his mother Domenica, his sisters Marzia and Marisa and his brother Bruno. “He was direct and sincere and always ready to lend a hand,” recalls fellow villager and friend Paolo De Prato, who lost his father in December with Covid. «I was hoping so much – says De Prato – that in Aldo’s case it wouldn’t end like this. We have always been very good friends and my dad and he were friends in a particular way ».
