Awaiting the launch of the Sostegni bis, the disbursement of contributions in June. And today the government decides on the restarting of the plants
BELLUNO. While today the Government could decide the restart of the summer season with the ski lifts – last weekend of May? -, the refreshments for the 2020 closures in the mountains are materializing. 61 million for Veneto, compared to the 700 of the Support Decree in conversion to the Chamber, Belluno hopes to forfeit at least 55 million, of which thirty for the ski lifts, the others for ski instructors, refuges, other support services, starting with from rentals. The contributions could reach 60 million with the distribution of the next 100 million (Decree Sostegni Bis for the first months of 2021, which it will be launched by the Council of Ministers in its sessions on Tuesdays or, at the latest, on Fridays. «The funds for the installers will certainly arrive by mid-June; for the other categories we must wait for the implementing decrees “, says the Forza Italia parliamentarian, Dario Bond.
Tour operators, including plants in Belluno, expected more, about seventy, especially taking into account that Alto Adige will receive 228 million and the Province of Trento 140. The assignment takes into account not only the drop in turnover but also the fixed costs. And we know how pervasive the tourism economy is in the nearby autonomous provinces. It is not yet known what will be the precise distribution of the fund between the provinces of Veneto, winter tourism, apart from Asiago, means above all Belluno.
The treasury will be disbursed directly by the Ministry once the amounts have been established. It is known, however – informs the Belluno parliamentarian of the League, Paolo Saviane – that 32.8 million euros will go to the ski lifts out of a total of 430 million planned at national level. “The contribution was established at 70% of the amount corresponding to the average of the revenues obtained from the sale of tickets in the years 2017 – 2019”.
A lot of compensation or a few? «The right ones. We are satisfied », he comments Renzo Minella, president of Anef. “They correspond, roughly, to 50% of our turnover”. A total of 3 million 386 thousand will go to the Veneto regional college of ski instructors, which will be divided among 1291 registered professionals while for the tourist companies damaged by the prohibitions and located in the territories of the districts a total of 24 million 774 thousand euros is expected.
But when will these contributions arrive, expected, actually, from January, therefore from the previous government? It is now likely in June. “We do not know with certainty the timing of the disbursement”, Saviane specifies, “but the decree has been approved and now we are only waiting for the government technicians to formalize the allocation. We remind you that in the Sostegni Bis another 100 million is planned in support of mountain accommodation activities, for the distribution of which we will not look at the drop in turnover but the total fixed expenses incurred in the closing months. I believe that these are good signs, such as to make us glimpse a spring after a long and harsh winter ».
Meanwhile, in the Dolomites, starting with the Falzarego pass, it is hoped that today in Rome the date for the reopening of the lifts will be decided and that the guidelines will arrive in the next few days.
