Reshuffle of Giunta? Medical leadership unions: it is counterproductive to change health councilor

The trade unions against the “worrying drift of Valdostan politics” and the “mediocre journalistic jokes about suspected irregularities, appointments, hires, homonyms”

The trade unions of the medical leadership are returning to the attack on the health situation in the Aosta Valley and on the “worrying drift of the Aosta Valley policy”.

“Those who, with undeclared work and with the honors of the news, perpetrate instability and fuel dissension and confusion in a moment of calm after a pandemic (and a probable autumn resurgence), obviously do not care about public health and have no intention to deal with health professionals (ie doctors and trade unions that represent them) “, accuse in a joint note Anaao-Assomed, Aaroi-Emac, Anpo, Cimo, Fesmed, Fvm, Savt Santé – Dirig. Sanitaire, Snr-Fassid.

“Let’s say enough of the controversies, the quibbles and the sensationalisms aimed at implementing reversals or reshuffles, most of the time in the press,” reads the statement. With the councilor for health and with part of the company’s strategic management “negotiations and agreements are underway to conceive a new organization of the Regional Healthcare: this, in this moment of great difficulty, represents for us a sign of great responsibility that leads us to consider the appointment of another health councilor counterproductive for everyone “. They add: “We would not like to find ourselves in September, perhaps with the umpteenth resurgence of the pandemic, not even knowing which political-administrative subjects to refer to.”

The unions intervene on the appointments of the former director general of the Aosta Valley Ausl. “The former CEO, Dr. Pescarmona, quickly leaving the reins of the Usl Company, made a personal choice, probably not very justifiable and somewhat questionable in terms of managerial responsibility in such a critical moment; this choice, however, was not foreseeable by anyone and no one can be held responsible for it, if not the same author of the departure ».

In trade unions they also say “enough with the mediocre journalistic jokes about suspected irregularities, appointments, hiring, homonyms (in a valley of 120 thousand inhabitants and 3000 Ausl employees, it is difficult not to incur in kinship with a ratio of 1 in 40, counting minors and pensioners): if there are irregularities, it is hoped that the judiciary will bring them out and act accordingly ».

The concern of the oo.ss. of medical executives is that “the Aosta Valley health area, already disfigured and impoverished by previous political managements, returns to be a land of conquest, with an immobility and an absence of medium-long term planning that has characterized the political landscape for too long regional Aosta Valley ».

“It is time to work, together, for a real and effective relaunch of the only regional health company instead of making more controversies that, between inaction and uncertainty, have contributed and contribute to reducing it to historic lows of credibility and efficiency”, they conclude.
