Ribera, 26, dies after losing control of his bike

A fatal accident occurred in the afternoon in Ribera in the district of San Francesco, in the center of the town. The victim is Filippo Campanella, a 26-year-old motorcyclist.
The boy would suddenly lose control of his bike, ending up off the road. Rescue was immediate. A 118 helicopter also landed near the accident site, with the aim of speeding up the possible transfer to an equipped hospital. Attempts by the doctors to resuscitate the boy, however, proved futile. The dynamics of the crash are still being examined by the carabinieri.
The mayor Matteo Ruvolo also went to the scene of the accident, who tried to cheer up the young man’s family. “We are all in shock, the people of Ribera are close to Filippo’s family for this terrible tragedy,” said the mayor.
