The longest shovel pizza in the world, about forty meters, made by six pizza chefs, in the outdoor area of the Rivarolo Urban Center, who will try to enter the Guinness Book of Records. The initiative, presented yesterday morning, Thursday 26, in the council chamber of the Municipality, is on the agenda for Sunday 5 September, starting at 10 am. via Trieste, in Caluso. With him will compete Davide Civitello, Viviana Falciano, Alessandra Fontana, Luca Montersino and Alessandro Raffi, flanked by a staff of helpers (in total there will be about twenty people involved).
For the occasion, two wooden shovels, forty meters long, were also made, which will be used to slide the pizza. A covered structure will be built in the pizza preparation area that will allow the attempt to be made even in adverse weather conditions, even if the confirmation of any record will only take place in the afternoon, around 16, when the judge will measure the length. and the goodness of pizza.
A tunnel oven equipped for this event will be installed for the company, with a sliding belt that will allow the pizza to move. There will be two phases: a first uniform cooking of the dough only, then, the pizza will be seasoned with the selected ingredients and subjected to a second, definitive cooking. The pizza in pala is rectangular and completely different, both for dough and cooking, from the traditional Neapolitan pizza, the dough is highly hydrated, there is a percentage of water around 75 percent, the other part is flour and it needs a leavening up to 48 hours. All that remains is to wait for the day of the possible record.
