About fifteen infected A couple of positive then negative results for the molecular Crosasso: “We must learn to live with Covid”

Great alarm, sent by the national news, but in the end the summer emergency in Ronco Canavese passed with a few coughs. “I understand that those infected by Coronavirus – explains the mayor Danilo Crosasso – were about fifteen in total, between tourists and residents. A couple tested positive on the rapid test, but then negative on the molecular test. The vast majority of the positives, however, were not vaccinated. It seems to me that there was only one ».
Life returns to flow, therefore, in the splendid Soana Valley and, to tell the truth, it resumed almost immediately, especially in the three shops in the town. «Since among the positives there was also an operator – explains Crosasso -, they decided to close, for an act of their responsibility, to proceed with the sanitization of the premises. Two were already open the same day, while the third the following day ».
A story from which many lessons are learned: the first is that the Coronavirus spreads everywhere, even in mountain communities. “But I think – explains Crosasso – that we learn above all that we will always have to live with Covid, because it is not something that will disappear soon, it will have the same cyclical nature of a seasonal flu, with some manifestations, unfortunately, more serious. So we have to learn to live with it. Without making a tragedy of it and without minimizing ».
According to the mayor, most of the infected in Ronco are asymptomatic. “Many, then, do not reside here, so we are not aware of it on the municipal portal. They are tourists, some are French ”.
On the map of the Piedmont Region updated on 17 August, eight residents in Ronco are infected. This was after the swabs in the square on 13 and 14 August, for which a pharmacy in Pont Canavese was made available.
Thus the country that has 300 residents in winter, which increases exponentially with summer tourism, is now among those with the most positive in Canavese, after the most populous Rivarolo, at 15, Chivasso at 14, Volpiano at 10 and Ivrea at 9. But the real emergency has returned and at the moment no one has had to resort to hospital-type treatment.
