Ruby ter trial: Berlusconi and the pianist Mariani acquitted in Siena

by admin

SIENA. Silvio Berlusconi was acquitted in the Ruby ter trial by the Court of Siena “because the fact does not exist”. Berlusconi, in the Sienese portion of the trial, had to answer for the accusation of corruption in judicial acts. The council chamber lasted an hour: the sentence was pronounced by the president of the college Simone Spina. The pianist of the parties in Arcore, Danilo Mariani, was also acquitted.

“The acquittal of President Berlusconi because” the fact does not exist “is a huge joy and, above all, the right outcome of a story that, as this sentence shows, should not have been prolonged for so long”, he says in a note the vice president of the Forza Italia group in the Senate, Licia Ronzulli. “It is now clear that this trial had no reason to exist and I hope that the decision of the magistrates will induce all those who have instrumentally ridden this judicial matter for political purposes to entrench themselves in a shameful, but very opportune, silence”.

“Those who know him have never doubted his innocence. How much mud before reaching the truth!” comments on Twitter Antonio Tajani. «Happy for the acquittal. Today’s verdict finally ends a case that has been going on for too many years. My affectionate embrace goes to the president of Forza Italia ”, declares the president of Fratelli d’Italia, Giorgia Meloni.

«News that restores confidence in justice. A sentence that, however, does not repay too many years of unjust accusations. A hug to the president », writes the president of Liguria and co-founder of Coraggio Italia Giovanni Toti on his Facebook page.

Berlusconi «I heard him, I complimented him. I am happy for having promoted the referendum on justice, it is not possible to have trials that last up to 20 years. There are 5 million Italians waiting for justice. I am happy for Silvio Berlusconi, he has done so much for the country and I do not know how many hundreds of judicial measures he has undergone, I do not know at what costs », says Matteo Salvini at Porta a Porta.
