Saman, a few days before the disappearance said: “I’m back in the community, not in Pakistan”

NOVELLARA – “I am willing to return to the community, not to Pakistan”. Saman Abbas, the 18-year-old who lived in Novellara, put it on the record a week before disappearing into thin air at the end of last April: the hypothesis of the investigators is that she was killed by her family because she rebelled against an arranged marriage. On April 11, she was heard, denounced the fact that her father was unduly withholding her documents and also reported cross-cutting threats to her fiancé, through relatives in Pakistan.

She also said that her parents persisted in the intention of marrying her, against her will, to a cousin at home. This is what emerges from the documents, cited by the Bologna Review Court. They are other fragments of the tragic last days of Saman, who would have been killed and torn to pieces so that her body was not found. A cousin was arrested for his disappearance, while his parents and other relatives are untraceable.

Saman, latest macabre revelations: “A meeting to tear her apart”. She said to her mother: “The bridegroom is too big”

Saman had returned home a few days ago, from 11 April, from the community where she had been placed when she was still a minor, precisely because of the family situation. “I went back home – said the girl – because I wanted to get hold of my documents”. “Upon my arrival at home my parents did not beat me, but they got angry and reproached me for everything I had done in recent months such as escaping to Belgium and going to the community. As for my documents, I saw them in the my father’s closet, locked. ” That very morning “my mother and father talked to my cousin’s parents and decided that in June we will go to Pakistan for the wedding with my cousin”. On the boyfriend, Saman said that on January 26 his father, Shabbar, “went to Pakistan to my boyfriend’s family and talked to his brother”, telling him that if he didn’t leave Saman “we will kill him and your whole family”.

Saman, boyfriend in tears: “I hope she is still alive, my life doesn’t matter anymore”

Saman had warned her boyfriend about the danger of his father Shabbar, who would be linked to the Pakistani mafia and responsible for killing people in Italy and Pakistan. “I am very afraid as the Pakistani mafia father is called Shabbar Abbas Muhammad Zama, he is a dangerous person and I am also afraid for my parents who are in Pakistan. In fact Saman in some calls made me clearly understand that his father already has killed other people both in Italy and in Pakistan “, said the boy, heard on May 5 by the carabinieri, after having reported the threats suffered by his relatives at home, due to his sentimental relationship with the 18-year-old from Novellara.

Those 110 days without Saman, the Novellara mystery still unsolved: the body is no longer sought, but the investigations continue
