The first events of the year at the recently restored Belloc theater in San Giorgio Canavese have been postponed due to the stricter anti-contagion regulations envisaged by the yellow zone, in which Piedmont has been located since Monday 3 January. This is confirmed by Marco Baudino, councilor for culture and leisure: «We had to cancel the events of Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 January as the capacity of the municipal theater was reduced by 50% due to the restrictions for Covid. We got off to a good start with the December program, but we were interrupted by the entry into force of the new provisions ».

The dance essay, curated by Asd Danzando, was the first to be canceled, but given the expected large turnout, there had already been talk of replicating it to allow everyone to participate. «We had already discussed with the association a possible rerun of the evening – explains Baudino -. Our theater has a capacity of about 140 seats, reduced by half at the moment, and for an event like the dance recital we expected a large participation from families. Even before the introduction of the new anti-contagion rules, we were of the idea of ​​reviving the show to allow access to everyone, because the seats available probably would not have been sufficient. Now we are sure that to do things well we will have to wait for the return to the white zone ».

The program planned for the feast of the Epiphany, with “La Befana and the music competition”, has also been canceled. «Also in this case it could not be avoided.
