The acquittal sentence in Cassation for Linty has been extended to the former president Cossard
AOSTA. The Banca di Credito Cooperativa Valdostana expresses “satisfaction” for the revocation of the appeal sentence of its former president Martino Cossard in the case of the Bccv branch of Fénis.
Cossard, sentenced in second instance for undue inducement to give or promise benefits, was co-accused with another former president of the bank, Marco Linty, and the former regional councilor Ego Perron regarding the transfer (never happened) of the headquarters of the Fénis branch to the ‘credit institution in premises owned by the former regional councilor in exchange for supporting the elections for the renewal of the bank’s top management.
The trial had ended in the Supreme Court. Cossard had not resorted to the third degree of judgment, but his sentence was revoked due to the extensive effect of the ruling by which the Court acquitted Linty.
According to the current president of the Bcc Valdostana, Davide Adolfo Ferré, the sentence “once again testifies to the independence of the banking institute from political influences” and “removes any doubt about the irreproachable behavior of those who led our institute in the past” .
