School, battle for the renewal of the professors’ contract: they work 36 hours a week, double the ‘official’ ones

Thirty-six hours a week. Here is the hourly commitment of a Latin teacher struggling with the correction of the versions and the annual programming, as well as a thousand other tasks, or of a mathematics teacher from the Italian high school. This time it is an authoritative institute to take into account the hours actually worked, including the 18 hours required by the employment contract: the Observatory of Italian public accounts, led by the economist Carlo Cottarelli, under the International Monetary Fund.
