The owner was taken to court after the investigation carried out for the crime of ill-treatment by the Ulss and the police
IF I SAY. Animals abused, a small farm seized. Domenico Coletta ended up in court for abandoning animals, on the basis of reports from the local police of Sedico, who first moved the Veterinary Services of the Ulss for the necessary inspections and then also the State Police to put the seals. The man, who has several criminal records and is defended by the lawyer Francesco De Bona, kept seven goats in a shack in the dark and in a sea of sewage, as well as two chained dogs with parasites and bedsores on their backs. Seven chickens, as many geese, six turkeys and two roosters were no better off, forced to live in cages full of excrement. There was no food and little water was frozen in the winter months. The guests survived in such precarious conditions, besides being attacked by rats, that the Municipality of Sedico was forced to take care of their livelihood. The trial in Coletta is in progress and will end on June 27 with discussion and first instance sentence. Prosecutor Rossi will ask for a sentence, which has not yet been specified.
