Selva di Cadore: from the nightmare of non-voting to the last-minute challenge between Peretti and Lorenzini

SELVA DI CADORE. From the nightmare of not going to vote to the fireworks of the last few days. It is with these premises that Selva di Cadore is preparing to write the post Cestaro. Until twenty days ago there was concern in the village over the silence regarding the candidacies. So much so that even the former mayor Silvia Cestaro, now regional councilor, had encouraged his old fellow citizens to get busy.

Perhaps they had hidden well, the fact is that within a few days two lists appeared: first that of Adriano Peretti, then that of Luca Lorenzini. The two filed them on Friday. That of Peretti is called “Together for Selva di Cadore”, that of Lorenzini “Selva there is”. Peretti is originally from San Donà di Piave where in 2018 he first ran for mayor, then he supported another center-right list. He has been managing the Lorenzini hotel for five years. He is currently president of the “Veneto Excellence Network” association in Eastern Veneto and responsible for the “Veneto Excellence Network” in the province of Belluno. Graduated in geographic information systems applied to territory and tourism at the University of Padua and Genoa, Lorenzini, 37, has been operating for years in the management of collective properties (the Rules) which he follows as an external consultant and works as a guide-escort for mid-mountain. Lorenzini’s list is not in direct continuity with that of Silvia Cestaro (only one director belonged to the previous Administration), but there was dialogue and confrontation between the two.
