Discussion on the four themes of “benefit sharing”.
Participants believed that human beings are at a very critical moment and need to take active actions and make unprecedented efforts to strengthen biodiversity protection. It is necessary to attach importance to the participation of stakeholders such as the business sector, the scientific community, indigenous peoples, and young women, and to incorporate the protection of biodiversity into the work of all government departments. Biodiversity, climate change, sustainable development, and public health are inseparable, and a systematic and holistic approach is needed to prevent the loss of biodiversity. To this end, all parties shared their successful cases of nature-based solutions to protect biodiversity, and demonstrated innovative methods in species protection, protection, and local community cooperation. These cases and methods show that nature-based solutions can not only alleviate the risks caused by climate change, but also stimulate economic development and obtain sustainable income.

Scientific research, technology transfer, capacity building, and acquisition and sharing are important foundations for protecting and sustaining biodiversity.
