Thus died, at the age of 66, Lino Zannoni, a historic ice cream maker from Sernaglia. The tragic accident occurred yesterday evening shortly after 7.30 pm, in front of the La Telliera bar, at the entrance to via Villanova. The rescue by the Suem di Conegliano and Treviso intervened on the spot even with the helicopter rescue. The situation immediately appeared very serious. The Vittorio Veneto carabinieri were also on site to carry out the ritual surveys.
In addition to the dynamics, the causes of this autonomous spillage of the road also remain to be clarified. It is not excluded that Zannoni was suddenly seized by an illness and therefore deviated from his natural trajectory. According to the first reconstructions, the historic ice cream maker, owner of the Fontanelle ice cream parlor, in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, was walking along via Castello, heading towards Pieve di Soligo: he would have skidded to the right ending first in a green area and then against the wall. The incident took place in front of the La Telliera bar, and many of the bystanders intervened to call rescuers.
The man died shortly after due to the serious injuries sustained, the attempts to save his life were useless. Zannoni had worked in Germany and for decades managed his historic ice cream parlor, the first and only one in the capital, first with his wife Bianca and now with his son Fabio. «Six months ago he was diagnosed with cancer» says his son «I chose to be close to him and to carry on his business. I quit my job as a chef in Trentino and started “learning” the secrets of the trade from him. We are in shock for this accident, but I know that I will continue the ice cream shop for him ».
In addition to Fabio, Lino Zannoni also leaves his daughter Jennifer and his wife Bianca, who went to the accident scene yesterday evening. In addition to the pain of this sudden loss, the woman found on the spot the proximity of her acquaintances and also that of the mayor of Sernaglia della Battaglia Mirco Villanova. “This is a tragedy that shook the whole community,” said the mayor who wanted to offer his support right away “he was a person respected by everyone.
