The carabinieri of the Castel San Giorgio station listened for a long time to the trade unionist and at the moment they are investigating at 360 degrees not discarding the hypothesis of an intimidating act against the well-known trade unionist who for over 30 years has been carrying out battles to protect workers, confronting each other. and clashing daily with both private and public employers.
The agents of the Digos of Salerno are also investigating the episode that has disturbed the circles of the Salerno union. Meanwhile, Arturo Sessa, an employee of the Municipality of Castel San Giorgio and seconded for six decades to the CGIL, received certificates of esteem and solidarity from all the provincial trade unions, from representatives of the institutions and from many workers. For two days, Arturo Sessa’s phone has been ringing non-stop, on the other hand hundreds of people worried about a gesture that has not passed over in silence.
According to the first reconstructions of the investigators, around 4 am on July 7, two figures were seen wandering near the home of Arturo Sessa in Castel San Giorgio. To notice those suspicious shadows in the courtyard was the elderly mother of the trade unionist who immediately alerted her son. Immediately afterwards, a loud noise was heard which prompted the trade unionist to immediately leave the house to see what had happened. The surprise was bitter: his car, a blue Fiat Panda, had been damaged with a concrete curb, used by the authors of the gesture to smash the front window of the car, which was shattered.
“As already mentioned, no one thinks of intimidating me, I have reported everything and I am confident in the work of the investigators – said Sessa who was quietly at work yesterday morning – we are planning the next initiatives and we work serenely with great confidence in justice, trusting in the renewed strength of our organization and in the great unity that I found around my person, a unity that comforts me and keeps me going ».
