The project for the refurbishment of the fields, the stands, the bar and the athletic facilities presented in Santa Giustina
SANTA GIUSTINA. Seven million euros to change the face of the entire sports area of via Pulliere in Santa Giustina. A considerable amount and certainly not in the current availability of the municipal budget. In any case, the administration aims at a complete restyling of the area among tenders, financing and sponsorships of private individuals. “We wanted a 360-degree idea in order to aim for targeted and precise interventions, without wasting time and money”. This is what was said by Renzo Trinca, councilor for public works, during the presentation evening of the plant redevelopment project. Now dated, three companies mainly operate in them: Plavis 2021, Polisportiva Santa Giustina and Winner Bike. And it was precisely these partnerships that had revealed their respective needs, which were then made to coincide in the new design.
TENSILE STRUCTURE
Two architects took part. Massimo Triches and his collaborators took care of the actual redevelopment of the area, with a technical-economic feasibility study. Elisa De Bridda instead had the task of giving life to the final project of the 800 square meter tensile structure that will rise next to the current disused tennis court. Tensile structure which, it must be said, was the priority of all the companies involved.
At that point, the administration chose to speed up the times, so as to be able to apply for the project to the Sport and suburbs call to obtain a good part of the 320 thousand euros needed. Just a few days ago, however, the negative response regarding the financing came. “But we did not understand the reason”, says Trinca. “In any case, if the appeal presented is not successful, we will evaluate the alternatives.” Like, in fact, the eventual sponsorship of one or more private individuals.
«From a technical point of view», explains architect De Bridda, «it is a structure similar to others already built in the Belluno area. It includes laminated wood arches to support the double pressurized PVC membrane that acts as a cover. The field has dimensions of 40×20 meters, with the grooving on the ground suitable for hosting various sports disciplines, such as soccer, basketball and volleyball. Without forgetting also athletics or presciistica courses, to give an example. Another feature is that it can be heated in its entirety or open on the sides ».
The tensile structure is therefore included in the group of changes hypothesized by the studio of the architect Triches, to be carried out as mentioned in step.
NEXT STEPS
«In the first lot», says architect Triches, «the idea is to redo the turf of the football field with an adjoining irrigation system, as well as to restore everything related to athletics. So from the track to the jump and launch platforms to host competitions up to the regional level ».
The reflection moves to the stands and the changing rooms. The idea is to create three blocks of terraces connected to each other by a raised walkway, for access to the steps therefore from above and not from below as usually happens. In addition to the changing rooms, warehouses for the storage of materials, weight rooms and so on would be built. The placement of the bar is foreseen between the northernmost block of the stands and the current changing rooms, and it would have the possibility of being open to the outside of the sports facility.
Regarding the training field, the innovative proposal is to build a dedicated locker room. “As regards the turf of the subsidiary field, in the study we also foresee the solution of the synthetic turf, or secondarily a natural turf with modern irrigation methods”.
Then there is also space for one pump truck for the cyclists of the Winnerbike, the lighting of the fields, the renovation of the tennis court, the redevelopment of the parking lots with 55 car stalls and two bus parking spaces. Thinking about the 360-degree usability of the area, “there are areas in flooring with anti-trauma rubber, to host games for children, life paths, tables for rest areas and so on”.
