The Municipal Health and Health Commission reported that on May 20, there were 84 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and 784 local asymptomatic infections in the city. Of the 84 local confirmed cases, 35 were found in closed-loop isolation and control, and 49 were asymptomatic infected patients and turned into confirmed cases. 784 cases of local asymptomatic infections were found in closed-loop isolation control.
As of 24:00 on May 20, 212 severe patients and 58 critically ill patients had been treated in designated medical institutions.
On May 20, there was a new local death case, an 89-year-old female with underlying diseases such as arrhythmia, severe hypertension, and Alzheimer’s disease. After being admitted to the hospital, she died of sudden acute myocardial infarction. She has never been vaccinated against the new crown.
As of 9:00 on May 21: A total of 930,597 close contacts in Shanghai have been investigated for this epidemic, all of which have been put under control. The second nucleic acid test results of the close and sub-close contacts of the three asymptomatic infected persons reported in Qingpu District yesterday were all negative.
Yesterday, 257 local confirmed cases in the city were discharged from hospital, and 2,531 asymptomatic infected persons were released from centralized isolation and medical observation.
Recently, the city has continued to carry out the combined screening of “antigen + nucleic acid” based on the division of the three zones. According to the screening results, on May 20, the city was divided into 2,329 closed control areas, involving a population of about 560,000 people; 10,591 control areas, involving a population of about 1.97 million people; prevention areas of 58,593, involving a population of about 20.75 million people people.
