Some Shanghai residents believe that the reason why the CCP authorities forcefully implement “static reset” is that political factors outweigh the prevention and control of the epidemic.
Since Shanghai implemented a strict “static reset” on March 31, the entire city has been at a standstill, resulting in various humanitarian crises. On the one hand, the common people have no food to eat, and on the other hand, all the vegetables in the supermarkets or vegetable wholesale markets are rotten; the vegetables that are donated to Shanghai from other places, no one receives them when they arrive in Shanghai, and they all rot away after a few days.
Ms. Wang, a citizen of Shanghai, told The Epoch Times that some communities were closed in March, but you can get the ordered dishes at the entrance of the community. Since the end of March, I was suddenly banned, I couldn’t go downstairs, and the community didn’t deliver food. “I’m so hungry that my head is dizzy.”
Ms. Wang also said that in the past epidemic prevention, basic life can be guaranteed. But this sudden change in tone is likely to be a manifestation of the CCP’s struggle for power. She said: “Because Xi Jinping wants to ‘clear’, and Zhang Wenhong wants to ‘coexist with the virus’ to some extent. Xi Jinping wants Shanghai to be obedient, and if you don’t obey, you will be punished, and your arms can’t bend your thighs. Now Shanghai’s epidemic policy is the top of the CCP. The result of infighting. The top power struggles, and the common people are the victims, and there is no explanation.”
On April 2, Vice Premier Sun Chunlan of the Communist Party of China rushed to Shanghai from Jilin, demanding that the Shanghai authorities adhere to Xi Jinping’s “clearing” policy unswervingly.
Mr. Ding, a human rights activist in Shanghai, recently told The Epoch Times that he has been locked in his home for 10 days and cannot go out. “Fortunately, we have a self-organized WeChat group, and everyone can help each other to buy vegetables, so they can only buy vegetables.”
He said: “People call Shanghai a ‘model of epidemic prevention’, but under the rule of the CCP, it’s all the same. The people above (the central government) are dissatisfied with Shanghai when they see it, and they will treat you. This is the current situation in China, and the one who suffers people.”
Zhuge Mingyang, an independent writer, said, “Zhang Wenhong actively promotes ‘precise prevention and control’ in Shanghai, trying to strike a balance between prevention and control and people’s livelihood, which is obviously inconsistent with the ‘clearing’ policy of the Xi authorities.”
Ms. Hagi, a pro-democracy activist, also told The Epoch Times, “Without vegetables, my lips are cracked, my teeth are swollen, I have nothing, there is no one in the community, the neighborhood committee doesn’t answer the phone, and I don’t let you go out. For half an hour, there are people in blue clothes patrolling, and they will be sent back when they see them.”
What Ms. Hagi didn’t understand was that the community she lived in was closed without a single positive result.
She said, “We have never been grounded like this before. This time the ban is because of a change of people, and the basic life of the people has been disrupted or even impossible to maintain.” “The officials replaced (epidemic prevention) experts, this is a joke. The current officials They are all engaged in politics, and they have evolved into political epidemic prevention.”
Ms. Hagi believes that the closure of the city has something to do with the nature of the Communist Party and its devilish nature. “The Communist Party only has its party spirit, it has no human nature. That’s the key.”
