The reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Langzhong Municipal Party Committee in Nanchong, Sichuan that due to heavy rainfall upstream, the Guangyuan Tingzikou Power Station and the Langzhong Shaxi Navigation and Hydropower Project released floods. At 9:17 on October 5, the water level in the Langzhong section of the Jialing River soared, and the flood entered part of the river in Langzhong. On the street, more than 2,000 meters of roads in the urban area were flooded, and the deepest part of the street area was about 1 meter. More than 3,000 citizens and tourists were evacuated urgently.
At about 13:00 on the 5th, the Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters of Langzhong City launched a Class I flood control emergency response to control traffic in related areas.
