Sixty-year-old electrocuted during maintenance work in a company

MARIANO. An accident at work occurred on Tuesday 24 August in the former Italsvenska factory in Mariano del Friuli.

A sixty-year-old Isonzo, who runs a furniture warehouse inside the former factory to be sold in antiques markets, was struck while together with an assistant, for reasons still to be clarified, he approached the high voltage cables.

The injured was transported by helicopter to Cattinara in yellow code. It is not life threatening. The collaborator was also taken to hospital for checks.

The carabinieri of the Compagnia di Gradisca and the firefighters of Gorizia, as well as the health workers of the Gorizia Green Cross and of the Sores, were present at the scene of the accident.
