Skiing and snowboarding: January 2024 Obereggen starts with the Night-Show – News

The winter season comes to life with sports and entertainment in Obereggen, in Val d’Ega, in the heart of the Dolomites, perfectly whitened by the Befana snow for the joy of children, families and operators. All for a rich program in January, developed by Obereggen Latemar SpA, chaired by Siegfried Pichler and directed by Benjamin Kirchmaier, starting with the traditional Night-Show, organized by the ski and snowboard school chaired by Thomas Prinoth, scheduled for Monday 8 January at 9.30 pm on the illuminated slope near the Obereggen valley station.

Grand opening on January 19th, at night, with the Night-Shred on the illuminated track: freestyle competition on the structures, boxes and rails in a race that promises to be spectacular, lighting up the night of Obereggen. During the day, athletes and enthusiasts will be protagonists in the snowpark, an Italian and international point of reference for the joy of snowboarders. The structure will be the cradle of various sporting events. Starting from the prestigious ‘Red Bull Hammers with Homies’ on February 3rd, organized by the Black Yeti sports club led by Marco Sampaoli. The event will constitute the only Italian qualifying stage for the world finals of the international circuit scheduled for spring. On February 24th the snowpark will host a high-level competition, in jargon a team battle, dedicated to snowboarders who make creativity, style and competition their lifestyle. On March 23rd it will be the turn of Go-Shred Bingo, organized by the German company of the same name: obstacles of different levels will be set up on the slopestyle course with kickers. The freeskiers and snowboarders who get all the tricks first, spectacular aerial evolutions, will win. Closing on April 6th with the Skolf Obereggen Snowpark, organized by the Skateboardproject of Bolzano chaired by Riccardo Larcher and coordinated by vice-president Andrea Coppola: the individual structures of the snowpark will be treated like holes on a golf course. The snowboard and freestyle events follow the start of the sports season in the South Tyrolean town, marked by the 40th edition of the European Cup slalom.
